Thumbs-up to the Junior Naturalist Camp four-day camp, put on by Victoria College, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension and Texas Master Naturalist Mid-Coast Chapter, at Ethel Lee Tracy Park. Children ages 5 to 12 were able to learn about animal adaptation and how they survive in the wild, herpetology and fishing and water safety.
Thumbs-up to Mennonites and Long-Term Recovery Group that dedicated a house in Placedo to Calvin and Darlene Davis and family. Their home was damaged during Hurricane Harvey.
Thumbs-up to all the contestants who participated in the Miss Victoria Pageant on Sunday.
Thumbs-down to the Congressional Democrats who want open borders, yet refuse to provide funds to feed and care for the hundreds of Mexican children who are arriving at the border unaccompanied.
