Letters to the editor

Editor, the Advocate:

I think we have a litter problem in Victoria, inside and outside the city limits. I am talking about the temporary signs on flimsy metal frames placed by businesses from Victoria and surrounding areas as far as Houston and San Antonio. You know the ones I am talking about. This is litter!! They never come back to pick them up. They are placed without permission in rights of way, ditches, on power poles, at neighborhood entrances or along the street side in town. Should be very easy to fine these sign placers. Each signs comes with a phone number to call the responsible party. County Commissioners, City Code Enforcement or Sheriff and Police, why do we allow this? Don’t Mess With Texas or Victoria.

Because the signs are for politicians. If I'm thinking the same as you.
