Julie Nobles, a fourth-grade teacher at Juan Linn Magnet School, helps Trace Meitzen, 9, use Mobi, an interactive mobile whiteboard, to do a math problem on the board from his seat on Friday. Classes received grants, which will fund a mimio for the classes that will add to the student's learning experiences. "If you think about what they're doing on the outside, its all computers and video games and cell phones. Then they come here and we give them a piece of notebook paper and a pencil. We've got to compete somehow," Jeffrey Neaves, technology specialist for Juan Linn Magnet School, said about the need for the new technology.
