Julie Nobles, a fourth-grade teacher at Juan Linn Magnet School, gives a math lesson on Friday using Mobi as students from left: Bianica Martinez, 9, Raymond Artiage, 10, and Trace Meitzen, 9, listen and watch the board. Fourth grade classes received grants Friday that they will use to buy a mimio for the classes that will turn the whiteboard into an interactive board for the students. "If you think about what they're doing on the outside, its all computers and video games and cell phones. Then they come here and we give them a piece of notebook paper and a pencil. We've got to compete somehow," Jeffrey Neaves, technology specialist for Juan Linn Magnet School, said about the need for the new technology.
