The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas held a "Cookies Rule" Dec. 4 at the Victoria Mall, Dillard's Court. The girls learned about the new cookies they will be selling, practiced selling door-to-door, learned about "The Perfect Cookie Booth," made coin purses out of recycled cookie boxes, and held a cheer contest about cookies. Approximately 30 different area troops were represented at the event with girls coming from as far away as Beeville. Girl Scout cookies go on sale Jan. 16, 2011. Practicing selling cookies are front, Arianna Silvas, Troop 95136; back row, from left, Mary Grace Konarik, Kimberlee Hathaway, Caitlin Walsh, Bailee Young, Emily Rodriguez and Vyviane Pham all from Troop 9579.
