Two pursuits that crossed multiple counties and ended in southeast Lavaca County were likely connected to human smuggling or trafficking, local sheriffs said Wednesday.

The two pursuits that ended in rural Lavaca County involved trucks that were in pursuits hours earlier in Live Oak County, said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon.

The driver of GMC was kindly trying to let the officer know about the no pursuit policy by attempting to ram his vehicle. Sarc/

But to some in our communities they do not see such a brazen attack on law enforcement as a problem.
