A district judge served a criminal justice advocate an indefinite criminal trespass warning on Tuesday, barring her from some Victoria County facilities after she filmed a social media video in one of the courtrooms.

Her attorneys are urging law enforcement and the district attorney to refrain from prosecuting her, arguing she was exercising her First Amendment rights.

Dear Editor, I've never written a letter to a news-paper before, but I felt compelled to write this time.

Thumbs Down: Harris's misguided blatant grandstanding for self instead of her clients. In my 86 years, I have never heard such unprofessionalism or disrespect. Trying to elevate the acts as "freedom of speech!?! I am profoundly embarrassed for her.

Thank you,

Dorothy Fudge

She was a distraction to the jury that day. She kept smiling at them and staring at them during testimony, making hard to focus on the trial.
