Jesus Martinez, 32, sits in a Victoria courtroom awaiting the go-ahead from bailiffs to leave the Victoria County Courthouse Wednesday afternoon. The presiding judge asked the families associated with the defense and state, respectively, to stagger their exit from the courthouse after a verbal altercation between Martinez and an audience member occurred in a courthouse hallway shortly after morning proceedings recessed.
