Police say black pickup ran stop sign

Five people were taken to hospitals after the driver of a black pickup ran a stop sign at a Victoria intersection Thursday, police said.

Five people were taken to the hospital after a pickup ran a stop sign and crashed at a Victoria intersection Thursday afternoon.

About 4:19 p.m., the driver of a black Chevrolet pickup collided with a silver Ford pickup that had the right of way at the intersection of Depot and Convent streets, police said.

Perhaps a divided street or stop light may have prevented this.

Leonard - How, exactly, would that have prevented anything? People run red lights too. Maybe obeying the traffic laws regarding speeding, reckless driving and stop signs would have been a bit more effective.
