Masks

A mask hangs on the front mirror of a parked car. Wearing masks has become routine for many people during the coronavirus pandemic.

Universal mask wearing is no longer required in three Crossroads counties where COVID-19 case counts have dipped low enough that county judges could take advantage of an exemption to the statewide mask mandate.

In Calhoun, Goliad and Jackson counties, facial coverings are not required in the majority of circumstances.

Dr. Margarite Griesz-Brisson MD, PhD is a Consultant Neurologist and Neurophysiologist with a PhD in Pharmacolog “The rebreathing of our exhaled air will without a doubt create oxygen deficiency and a flooding of carbon dioxide. We know that the human brain is very sensitive to oxygen depravation. There are nerve cells for example in the hippocampus, that can’t be longer than 3 minutes without oxygen – they cannot survive

Matilda Jane -- What you're saying would be a concern if masks were airtight and formed a hermetic seal against the face, but neither of those is the case. There might be a problem if one is running a marathon while wearing a mask, but for simply shuffling around HEB or Walmart etc it isn't a medical issue. If it will make you feel better, just step out of traffic, pull the chin of the mask down a bit and draw a few breaths of unfiltered air.

When in ten years, dementia is going to increase exponentially, and the younger generations couldn’t reach their god-given potential, it won’t help to say “we didn’t need the masks”.

There is no unfounded medical exemption from face masks because oxygen deprivation is dangerous for every single brain. It must be the free decision of every human being whether they want to wear a mask that is absolutely ineffective to protect themselves from a virus.

The "economic devastating " lock down was to only last three weeks, it is going on six months now. Continued lock downs expected for this winter.

This is truly evil what is happening to the unwitting.

I only wear a mask when I need to buy something. I need to put 666 on my mask.

“My analogy is that you have a choice to smoke or not to smoke, and it’s been a warning on every packet of cigarettes since (the 1960s), and a lot of people still smoke because it’s their choice. I feel the same way about a mask.” Smokers are not free to expose non smokers to second hand smoke. The only thing that smokers and people who don’t wear mask have in common is that they both expose others to harm.

People in the know are calling this mess of a takeover fearporn. Stop and look at the condition of the people that are wearing masking all the time, they do not look better for the wear. Turn off the WiFi. I don't know what you large institutions are going to do about this but you need to figure out something.

"People in the know" -- That's hilarious. Nobody knows anything about anything, especially those who depend on MSM and social media for their information.

"Stop and look at the condition of the people that are wearing masking all the time, they do not look better for the wear." -- Totally disagree. I and a whole lot of people look much better wearing a mask.

The mayor and sheriff overrule the governor so I understand. The sheriff has the last word.
