The Texas Health and Human Services Commission announced on Thursday that it is allowing visits to nursing homes and long-term care facilities on a limited basis.

Only outdoor visits are allowed at nursing homes, according to a news release by HHSC, while indoor and outdoor visits are allowed at long-term care facilities. Physical contact between residents and visitors is not permitted at either type of facility.
