Nonprofits and Health Reporter
I'm originally from the small South Texas town of Cotulla but lived most of my life in San Antonio. I've studied journalism for many years working at award-winning newspapers including The Ranger, the Longview News-Journal, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times and The Roanoke Times in Virginia. I graduated from San Antonio College and Texas State University-San Marcos with journalism degrees. I've lived in Victoria for two years working at the Advocate and my feature stories have since received state and national recognition. In January, I was named a National Press Foundation cancer reporting fellow. Let me know if there are any health-related issues that need to be investigated or any news involving local nonprofits. Call 361-580-6585 or email email@example.com. Be sure to follow me on Twitter @reporter_laura or 'like' my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/lgarciavicad.
